Staying active and involved in sports is a goal of mine which I intend to keep throughout my whole life. For the last 8 years CrossFit has completely changed my life. Not only does CrossFit keep me physically fit but it always fulfills my need to compete and be challenged everyday. I am thrilled to be able to share the CrossFit experience with other people and hope it brings as much fullfillment in there lives as it has in mine.

Sports and physical fitness have always played a huge role in my life. I played a variety of sports, with volleyball and girls fastball being the two sports of choice while growing up. Once I was done high school I joined a local gym which I was never very good at committing to. I wanted something different and more challenging.

 

Then, I met Kaine, who at the time was focused on Mixed Martial Arts. We both agreed this took to much training and this is when Kaine was introduced to CrossFit. It took me one year to try it after he had started and now, needless to say I am hooked. It has now been 7 years and I can honestly say that I will never work out any other way again. I cannot wait for people to experience the journey I have been on and will continue on. I am so excited to introduce CrossFit into peoples lives and to watch as a community of great people forms.

Staying fit and moving well dose not just exist in the gym for me, it goes with everything I do. Being a member of the Medicine Hat Fire department, it is important for me to be in the best of condition and stay healthy. Crossfit has allowed me to achieve goals I did not know I was capable of reaching. I got hooked onto Crossfit in the spring of 2011 after 1 team workout while I was living in Calgary. The feeling was electric, it was so difficult but I found comfort in the "pain zone" and never looked back. Since that day I have found a craving to be competitive in this sport, and teach others what this craziness is all about. New goals will come and be conquered but the greatest feeling is when you help someone change there life and achieve their goals. Whether that would be shedding unwanted weight through proper diet and exercise, or hitting a new clean and jerk PR. The Crossfit community and atmosphere is so addicting and a wonderful place to be, no matter what crap may rain down on you there is always a smiling face to great you at the box.

Being active and fit has been a goal of mine my entire life but became especially important since my son, Austin, was born. I always wanted to be a fun, active, young mother. However, after having my third child in four years that goal seemed a long way off. I played hockey and volleyball but that wasn't getting me to my goals. I was missing intensity! That's where Gas City CrossFit comes in. I love the varied workouts, I am never bored and always challenged. The results are a work in progress but I am 40lbs lighter and much more fit then I was 1.5 years ago before CrossFit. Seeing those results in myself has made me want to share CrossFit with others. It's a proven fitness program anyone can do and I consider it a privilege to help Gas City CrossFit members on their journey to fitness, PR's and health.
